Nutrition Services
Registered dietitians, nutritionists, and nutrition specialists are available to provide a variety of nutritional services.
Services available are:
- community-based, preventive, nutrition education and services,
- enhanced nutrition education for low hematocrit/hemoglobin; pica; and normal nutrition for children, adolescents, adults and the elderly, and
- assessment and medical nutrition therapy for clients with chronic diseases, such as: diabetes;
- growth problems, overweight/underweight, low birth weight/very low birth weight; and other medically diagnosed problems.
Some services are provided through programs, i.e., Home Health Services, CRS, Women and Children's Services (children's health, WIC).
Fees: Medicaid is billed for eligible patients.
