School Nurse of the Year Awards
The S.C. School Nurse (RN) of the Year Award and the S.C. School Health (LPN) of the Year Award are presented annually by the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control and the S.C. Department of Education. The awards publicly recognize outstanding contributions by an RN and an LPN currently practicing as school nurses. The awards are presented during a special luncheon held at the Annual School Nurse Conference. Each year the School Nurse Conference Planning Committee works with the State School Health Nurse Consultant to select an RN and LPN to be honored. The competition is always stiff; we have so many deserving candidates. We anticipate another group of outstanding nominations this year.
