Black infants in SC are more than twice as likely to die before their first birthday than white infants. SCBIBS is dedicated to reducing the infant mortality rate in the African American community by helping parents access information and resources to ensure better health and well being for their children and families.

SCBIBS is a collaborative effort by the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control, Pee Dee Healthy Start, Low Country Healthy Start, Palmetto Healthy Start, and Palmetto Bright Futures
