Instrument Services:
The Instrument Services section provides Preventive and Corrective Maintenance
services to the Bureau of Laboratories, region Health Departments, Environmental
Quality Control Laboratories, the State Law Enforcement Division Forensic
Laboratories and several other state programs. All instrument maintenance
is done in accordance with rigorous quality control and quality assurance
protocols of the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA
'88), as well as College of American Pathologists and the Food and Drug Administration
Series 2400 guidelines.
Facilities Management:
Facilities Management is responsible for the operations of the Hayne Building
and surrounding grounds, Bureau of Laboratories vehicles, asset/inventory
control of DHEC property, telephone systems, housekeeping, security and distribution
of keys.
