The Broad River Basin incorporates 32
watersheds and some 2.4 million acres within the State of South Carolina
(a portion of the basin resides in North Carolina). Within the
Department's Broad Basin are the Enoree River
Basin, the Tyger River Basin, and the Broad
River Basin. The Broad River Basin lies within the Piedmont region of
the State. There are approximately 4,332 stream miles and 18,532 acres of
lake waters in the basin.

characteristics, natural resources, growth potential, potential nonpoint
source contributions, and point source discharges.
