GROUND-LEVEL OZONE FORECAST PUBLIC DISCUSSION
VALID: 3:13PM EDT TUE 13-MAY-2008
Monitor readings across the state on this Tuesday afternoon indicate ozone concentrations should finish in the code green range this afternoon/evening except for a possible isolated low code yellow in the CSRA or Upstate. The area of high pressure responsible for our tranquil conditions today (Tues) will shift offshore on Wednesday. This will swing winds back around to a more southerly direction and keep upwind sourcing still relatively clean. While a dry and mostly sunny day is in store for most of the state, a batch of high clouds could block some sun from time to time in the afternoon in western sections. Overall, conditions will not favor significant ozone build ups, so readings in the code GREEN range are anticipated statewide on Wednesday. **smutzsw
