KILL DATE: Nov. 15, 2007
Did you know…?
African-Americans are at higher risk for chronic diseases such as heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, diabetes and some cancers.
Healthy and Whole is a chronic disease awareness and prevention program that congregations can use to teach their members how lifestyle choices affect health and how chronic diseases start.
The program is available to African-American congregations in Chester County at no cost. Healthy and Whole is sponsored by a grant from the Chester Healthcare Foundation in partnership with DHECs Chester County Public Health Department.
Healthy and Whole provides resources for your church, technical assistance for promoting healthy behaviors and training about chronic disease topics.
Join the program and learn how healthy eating, exercise and not using tobacco can lower your risk of developing chronic diseases.
