DHEC’s Region 8 Public Health sets flu clinic for Low Country residents
BLUFFTON – The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control’s Region 8 Public Health will hold an appointment-only influenza vaccination clinic on Nov 4.
Residents who want to reduce their risk of flu should call for an appointment. Clinics will be conducted by appointment to reduce the likelihood of waiting.
- The first DHEC Region 8 flu shot clinic for southern Beaufort County will be held:
Nov. 4, 2006
8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Palmetto Electric Cooperative New River Center on Hwy 278, across from Sun City in Bluffton - To make an appointment for this clinic:
Call (843) 757-2251 or e-mail FLU4@dhec.sc.gov beginning Oct. 19 after 9 a.m.
Do NOT call Palmetto Electric for an appointment.

- Please include that residents should not call Palmetto Electric to make appointments
- There is a $25 charge for the vaccination, which Medicare Part B and Medicaid will cover for those who are eligible. Cash or check payment also will be accepted.
