Coastal photography contest underway
CHARLESTON -- Photographers of all ages and degrees of expertise are invited to get out their cameras and tripods to enter their best photographs of coastal South Carolina scenes in the annual photography contest sponsored by the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control.
The winning photographer will receive $200. The winning photo will appear on the 28,000 copies of DHEC’s 2007 annual tide table poster.
Entries must be of a coastal South Carolina scene including marshes, beaches, Palmetto trees or wildlife and be appropriate as an illustration for the tide table. Horizontal orientation is required. Color photos and CDs with image sheets are accepted with a limit of five pictures per contestant. Entry is free. Submissions will not be returned without a self-addressed stamp envelope provided by the contestant. The deadline to enter is September 30, 2006.
